Edited by Gilberto Rivera, Laura Cruz Reyes and Claudia Guadalupe Gómez Santillán - Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, Instituto Tecnológico de Cd. Madero

A careful invitation is made to present original works that will be published in the “Computación y Sistemas” journal (ISSN 1405-5546). This quarterly journal, indexed in Journal Citation Report and Scopus, holds growing prestige. The central theme of the upcoming special edition will be recent scientific and technological advancements in computing. Specifically, this edition will be published with the thematic issue: New Trends in Artificial Intelligence and its Applications. Preference will be given to works that are the product of a) research stays abroad, b) postgraduate studies abroad, and c) international collaboration projects.

The thematic edition, New Trends in Artificial Intelligence and its Applications, aims to publish innovative works and state-of-the-art models of the practical application of artificial intelligence. Contributions are accepted on spanning various approaches, models, and algorithms, including expert systems, metaheuristic algorithms, recommender systems, decision support, forecasting, and machine and deep learning, among other relevant topics.

Authors are also encouraged to submit manuscripts offering a comprehensive literature review on artificial intelligence algorithms for prescriptive analytics, focusing on data-driven decisions, optimization, and decision-making. Additionally, contributions presenting representative applications and challenging case studies are highly valued. The expectation is that authors present their works and motivate readers to implement these technologies to create intelligent businesses, foster Industry 4.0 environments, and inspire further research contributions in this dynamic field.

The editorial initiative, New Trends in Artificial Intelligence and its Applications is part of the Eurekas Community (https://www.eurekascommunity.org), an international and multidisciplinary scientific community founded in 2008. Eurekas unites professionals from diverse fields, including mathematics, computer science, engineering, administration, economics, and social sciences. With over 60 research groups in more than 20 countries across America and Europe, Eurekas focuses on collaborative efforts to advance theoretical and practical developments in data and business analysis, contributing to the construction of society and the knowledge economy; since its foundation, Eurekas has contributed with multiple projects for that purpose. All submitted chapters will be accepted only after a rigorous review process conducted by our collaborators worldwide.
